Today, the grandparents showed up with a pack of chocolate-covered marshmallows for the barnebarn (grandchild, in Danish.) It’s a thing grandparents specialize in…sweet-treats for the kids.
Before you have another occasion to feel frustrated with all of the sugar available for kids in every season of the year, turn that frown upside down!
Grab some skewers and intersperse the treat with some fresh, colourful fruit. Even small chunks of cheese, steamed veggies, ham or chicken work. The focus becomes the fun of eating off a sharp, pokey object and a mix of mostly good, with a little treat gets eaten.
Cheers!
